Our Mission:
We,
the Sanctuary at Mt. Calvary, exist for the singular purpose
of representing the Lord Jesus Christ to this present age
as Reconciler, Redeemer, and Restorer of hopeless humankind,
and are dedicated and commited to sharing the good news
of the gospel which is relevant for every aspect of existence
with a specific focus on ministering to the whole person.
Our Vision:
The
Lord has given our Pastor and exhaustive vision for the
Mt. Calvary family. Its is one that is literally designed
to minister to the needs of the total person in the following
areas:
Spiritual, Physically, Educationally,
Socially
Phase
1: Sanctuary/Admin Center
Our
main sanctuary is a stellar 16,000 sq. ft. building, with
a maximum seating capacity of 2,000 people. This is where
we gather to praise the Lord and hear the ministering of
His Word. This facility was completed in November 2000.
Phase
2: Family Life Center
The
Family Life Center, in process of being completed, will
be a 12,000 sq. ft. building where our families can go for
Christian recreation and entertainment. For our youth, this
will be a place where they can engage in games of sport
and fellowship with other Christian youth. For our seniors,
it will be a place where they can fellowship with other
seniors to alleviate the loneliness that usually besets
their age group. Since the building will be equipped with
a basketball court, arcade room, television lounge, exercise
facility, and fully equipped kitchen, there will be something
for everyone of all age groups to enjoy.
Phase
3: Educational/Holistic Ministry Center
This
center will be equipped with classrooms to meet the needs
of all our educational ministries as well as our church
school and youth church. In this facility we will operate
our Juveniel Justice Program, substance abuse ministries,
tutorial programs, GED preperation, voter's registration,
job training, and other social programs funded by municipal,
state and federal grants.
Phase
4: Medical Center
This
center will facilitiate quality, affordable medical care
to meet the needs of our members and the community. The
center will house full-time physicians, counselors, therapists
and staff.
